What is DITI? It is an acronym for Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging. DITI is a non-invasive test of physiology using a state-of-the-art infrared scanner or thermography camera to measure temperature on the surface of the body. Digital technology and special DITI software allows thermographers to make a thermal map on a computer screen using temperature data. These “thermograms” are then interpreted by medical doctors (also known as thermologists).
The DITI, or thermography, procedure is:
- Non-invasive
- No radiation
- Painless
- No contact
- FDA registered
Other terms that are synonymous with DITI, or very similar, are:
- thermography
- digital infrared imaging
- medical thermal imaging
- breast thermography
- clinical thermography
- medical thermography
